"Krystal Can't Enjoy Her Sandwich" is a popular quote that has started controversy as being one of the most notorious memes in the Star Fox Fan Community.

Around July 9, 2007, a member of FurAffinity named cbee did an Bob Ross-inspired picture of a dark forest. Because of the restrictions of the category, bering added into the Furry Oekaki board, a random picture of a nude Krystal eating a sandwich was added at the bottom left. Later on, cbee posted the picture on FurAffinity.Net.

Twelve days later, a spam user on FurAffinity named, "krystalcantenjoyhersandwich" used the image, cut out Krystal, and placed the crop on various backgrounds and images to implament the reasons why "Krystal couldn't eat her sandwich." The backdrops he used for his spamming included "depressing" images of natural and non-natural disasters and other random images. He was quickly banned for his lude acts violating the user agreements on the FA site as well as cbee, who was also banned from the site even though he didn't commit any violations. He was, later on, unbanned, shortly after the events that had fallen, but it was already too late. The activity already reached the community, and users all over began to create their own fursonas portraying the explanation why she can't enjoy her sandwich.

After the events of the notorious incident on FurAffinity, an FA user by the name of "Critical Fail" created a pop genre song "Krystal Can't Enjoy Her Sandwich" with those words added to the lyrics of music. It has become an addition to the collection of the Internet meme.
