The Anglar Directorate is a military power that attempted to conquer the Lylat system.

Description

The Anglar Directorate is composed of the Anglar, a race of aquatic fish originating from the acidic oceans of Venom. Under the control of the Anglar Emperor, the Anglar Directorate maintained hold of Venom after the fall of Andross' Empire and have at their disposal a massive invasion fleet.

History

The Anglar Directorate originated on the ocean floor of the planet Venom, building up their society while the Venomian Empire flourished on the surface. After the Venomian Empire was left in ruins after the first Lylat War, the Anglar ceased control off all assets and established full dominion over the planet. The Anglar Directorate remained reclusive and built up their fleet over the course of twelve years until they unleashed their war machines on the Lylat system shortly after the Aparoid infestation. While the Anglar Directorate was largely successful in their initial invasion, the Star Fox team, along with the aid of Star Wolf managed to cripple nearly half the Directorate's fleet and kill the Anglar Emperor. After the Emporer's death, the Anglar Directorate agreed to terms of non-aggression with the Cornerian army and withdrew their armies back to Venom
