Aparoid Invasion

Gate Opening For Final Assault

After Corneria had been invaded by the Aparoids, the remainder of the Cornerian Defense Fleet began to mass together to counterattack the Aparoid Homeworld. Whlie Team Star Fox and the remnants of the Cornerian Defense Force fighters gathered outside the ring, a team of scientists, lead by Beltino Toad, worked inside the ring to finish off the Apoptosis Virus, later to be used to infect the Aparoid Queen. However, the Aparoids had known about the counterattack and launched their own offensive against the station. Immediately, the fighters mobilized to stop them.

Initially, the fight was between the equivalents of starfighters in each faction. Part way into the fight, however, the Aparoids opened up a Transfer Gate and launched missiles at the station. While the Defense Force pilots attacked the fighters, Team Star Fox went after the missiles. Systematically, each was destroyed; each was aimed at the station to destroy it. During the biggest concentration of missile fire, Team Star Wolf aided Star Fox by destroying one of the missiles. After the final, biggest missile was destroyed, Beltino and the other scientists finished the virus.

Once it was loaded onto a Cornerian Defense Force ship, the gateway proceeded to open. The first ship through was Great Fox, while the rest of the invasion force followed shortly after it.

Once the invasion was complete, the gateway was renamed the Beltino Orbital Gate in honor of Beltino's bravery and his creation of the virus that destroyed the Aparoids once and for all.
