The Blue Marine is an underwater submursible vehicle designed and built by Slippy Toad. Initially, it was intended to be a recreational vehicle, but it was pressed into active service once due to the special circumstances on Aquas.

History

Pre-Lylat Wars

Slippy Toad, the mechanic of Team Star Fox, aspired to build his own vehicle to add to the team's roster, consisting mainly of vehicles purchased from Space Dynamics Corporation, Limited. Through the manipulation of spare parts and scrap metal came the design of the submarine named "Blue Marine."

She initially was used as a recreational vehicle.

Lylat Wars

Star Fox had located one of Andross' bioweapons poisoning the seas of Aquas shortly after aiding a Cornerian fleet in Sector Y. On word from General Pepper, they investigated it. Because the bioweapon was stationed underwater, the Blue Marine was pressed into military service. After being ejected from Great Fox, Fox piloted the ship through the seas, destroying a lot of tainted wildlife and Venomian forces along the way. Because the Blue Marine's sonar sensors were unable to produce proper vision down on Aquas' sea floor. Fox instead had to resort to using the Blue Marine's torpedoes to light the way. Luckily for him, the ship had an unlimited supply of them.

After a short while, Fox located the bioweapon. Utilizing the torpedoes once again, he forced open its shell and attacked the eye of the weapon. It could no longer sustain any more damage and the bioweapon was destroyed. The Blue Marine then docked back at Great Fox. It would never see active duty again.

Appearence

The Blue Marine maintains a bullet-like shape, helping its motion while underwater greatly. Its weapons are located at the nose of the ship, providing an unhindered forward firing arc. It can also perform the same manuvers as the Arwing.

Out of all the Star Fox Team vehicles, it is the slowest of them all.
