| Falco Lombardi is an avian member of the mercenary team known as "Star Fox." He is known as the team's ace pilot and is a bit of a loner. He is Fox's closest friend on the team, his friendly rival, and is a little cocky about his abilities.
Falco was working with Star Fox at the time of the Lylat Wars. Once they were hired by the Cornerian Defense Force, he immediately helped the rest of his team repel an invasion on Corneria started by Andross. He then went with them across the Lylat System stopping Andross' advance on Corneria and ultimately defeating him. Falco would help Fox usually in finding other paths. However, he would sometimes break formation and pick off a few enemies for Fox, usually being a showboat when doing it. When fighting Star Wolf, he usually went after Leon Powalski. They are considered piloting rivals between the teams. When the team was on Zoness, Falco expressesd a lot of concern about the state of the planet. This is alluding to the fact that Zoness is his homeworld. Katt Monroe also showed up here. Through some of his reactions to her showing up and her reactions talking to him, Falco and Katt are thought to be in a relationship, although he never explicitly ever states this [or wants to].
Falco was absent for much of the Saurian Incident. He had a bout of boredome and left Star Fox. He returned, however, during the battle between Fox and a revived Andross. Before Fox met his doom by being eaten by Andross, Falco launched a Smart Bomb into his mouth. After a short introduction, he supplied Fox with Smart Bombs, which he repeatedly shot into Andross' mouth. Doing so exposed his brain, which Fox repeatedly shot. Ultimately, Andross was defeated, and Falco ended up rejoining the team.
Falco had completely rejoined the team at the Aparoid Invasion. He stayed airborne through the entire campaign, never once helping Fox directly on-foot. He most notably deterred Fox from believing the Aparoid Queen's attempts to confuse him into joining the Aparoids.
Falco, along with the rest of Star Fox, had left the team at the beginning of the Anglar Directorate invasion. However, in time, Fox and Slippy were able to track him down and got him to rejoin. (It is unknown where Falco or the rest of Star Fox ended up since Star Fox Command has no defined canon ending.) |
