Inter Planetary Ballistic Missile (IPBM) is a weapon of mass destruction (WMD) capable of intercepting orbits from other planets. In the Second Lylat War, Andross launched a full scale assault on Corneria, using IPBMs to attack Corneria directly. Team Star Fox, however, was able to intercept the missiles and destroy them before they could reach Corneria.
