Kani are a species of spider-like creatures found on Zoness. They used to be a delicacy in restaurants before they were affected by the polluted waters. They often are aggressive, skimming over the oceans of Zoness, attacking and getting in people's way. During the Lylat Wars, they got in the way of Team Star Fox as they were eradicating the Venomian bases on the planet's aquatic surface. Fox, in turn, had to destroy several of them.
