The Krazoa are an ancient race of non-corpeal spiritual beings responsible in whole or at least in part for the creation of the planet Sauria. Though they are very prominent, virtually nothing is known of the Krazoa.

About the Krazoa

The Krazoa are powerful entities from another plane of existence, often worshiped as gods by many races including the Saurians. In their natural state they are not effected by anything in the physical universe, and thus they are often associated as being ‘spirits.’ Krazoa have the unique ability to latch onto a biological creature’s “soul” and use it as an anchor to take control of their nervous system, effectively giving them the ability to possess and manipulate.

Little is understood about the Krazoa in their natural state. What they are made of, how they interact, or their life cycle is completely unknown and believed to be incomprehensible. Visually they appear as transparent light blueish and purple faces with two eyes and a mouth. Trailing behind a Krazoa are numerous tentacles that are often associated as their means of propulsion. It is unknown if this spirit-like appearance is the Krazoa's true form or mearly how they appear in the 'normal' universe. Statue's built by the Saurians and the ancient Krazoa themselves suggest that their spirits are not their true form. It is unknown if the Krazoa use any form of technology. Peppy Hare mentions on the Saurian world map that the Krazoa have the ability to manipulate dark matter, however.

The Krazoa are said to have created the planet Sauria with the manipulation of dark matter. Several but not all the tribes of Sauria built monuments in their name and worshipped the Krazoa as gods. Eventually time went on and it is presumed the Krazoa died, leaving only their spirits behind to monitor Sauria. During the Dinosaur Planet incident, Andross found a way to use the Krazoa Spirits to resurrect his physical body and return to his previous goal of destruction. With the help of his puppet General Scales, Andross was successful in trapping the Krazoa spirits and nearly tearing apart Sauria. His true goal was to lure the Cerinian known as Krystal to Sauria and use her as a means of channeling the dark matter within the Krazoa Spirits to reform his body. He was successful and managed to reform as the "Krazoa God," a hybrid of himself and a Krazoa being. At the apex of his resurrection he was defeated by Fox McCloud however, and the Krazoa Spirits disappeared into the depths of Sauria.

Trivia

Krystal abilities allowed her to channel the power of the Krazoa, which Andross needed to revive himself.

In the Japanese ending of 'Kursed' to Star Fox Command, it is said that Fox later met Krystal on Kew in the "Krazoa' Galaxy". It is unknown whether the name is a coincidence or if the Krazoa are a dominant power in said galaxy.
