Miyu was a member of Team Star Fox during the second invasion of Andross. She piloted a new type of Arwing that had been developed, known as the Arwing Interceptor for its speed. Her hotdogging methods as a pilot are described as cocky in the heat of a battle. It is hinted that Miyu is described as a tomboyish member of the Star Fox team who flirts a sign of either taunting or having an interest in Fox.

Miyu in Star Fox 2

Miyu joined Team Star Fox at the same time as Fay Spaniel, her partner who also flew an Arwing Interceptor. Once the mercenary team was again hired by the Cornerian Army to combat Andross' attacks on Corneria, Miyu was deployed for the first time into combat. She, alongside the other members, fought back the attacks, ranging from Interplanetary Ballistic Missiles to fighters to battleships. At some points as well, they fought and defeated various members of Team Star Wolf, who were hired by Andross to hunt them down.

After they defeated all of Andross' holdings on the Lylatian planets, they attacked his base, Astropolis, directly. Andross' forces were ready for them, and as the mother ship combated the main forces outside, Team Star Fox went directly into the base. There was strong opposition, but the team defeated them mainly through the Arwing's new mode: Walker-Mode. Once they destroyed the floating city's core, it opened up a tunnel into the final element of the base, where Andross was waiting for them personally. A large fight ensued between the team and Andross, with Andross using special forms of a red and blue face that shot according attacks before showing his true, deformed self. Once Andross was defeated, Astropolis began imploding, but Star Fox made it out. Astropolis was destroyed, and Andross' reign of terror was finally destroyed. The team then reboarded the mother ship and flew back to Corneria, triumphant in the final defeat of Andross.
