Sargasso is a region of space within the Meteo Asteroid Field. It is located around the edge near Sector Y. Sargasso has become infamous for its criminal hideout inside an old space colony station, under the watch of Team Star Wolf.

History

Aparoid Invasion

Team Star Fox had tracked Pigma Dengar to the Sargasso Region after he stole a vital core memory from a destroyed Aparoid. Immediately a ruffian working for Wolf O'Donnell interrupted their calling frequency, yelling at them for intruding on Wolf's territory, who he refers to as "Lord O'Donnell." Once Fox made their identities known to him, the ruffian scrambled the hideout's defenses in order to kill the team.

However, Fox and the team decided to thread the needle and make an offensive to capture the hideout. Slippy and Fox went on foot to directly invade the base; Falco and Krystal flew Arwings outside to harry any reinforcements that came in, although Fox would occasionally go and help them if they really needed it.

After a lengthy fight destroying transfer pods shuttling reinforcements inside the base and fighting pockets of resistance, Fox took control of the hideout from its command center. Wolf and his team then warped in and began attacking the space fighters. Fox told Slippy to gain control of the hideout entirely as he went to help the space-faring members. Star Fox and Star Wolf fought a dogfight in space, but ultimately Star Wolf was defeated. Fox asked them for information about where Pigma went, to which Wolf replied that he was kicked out. Panther, however, while trying to flirt with Krystal, accessed the comm records and showed them the way he went to: Fichina. Star Wolf then hyperspaced out, with Wolf making one final comment: "Star Wolf will take you down one day." Star Fox left shortly afterward.

Due to the conditions of the hideout post-invasion, the Cornerian Army dispatched a team to fully secure the hideout. The threat of Team Star Wolf to the Cornerians soon began to dwindle.
