Titania is a ringed world of the Lylat System. Due to ion storms kicking up dust from the planet's surface, the stratosphere is shaded in a sickly orange-red color. Due to the ion storms, travel to the planet is severely limited, as expressed by General Pepper.

History

Pre-Lylat Wars

Millions of years ago, an ancient civilization had inhabited Titania, then a thriving world similar to that of Corneria. The agrarian race constructed large, ornate cities, and worshiped the Goras as gods. However, due to an asteroid impact with the planet, the species had been wiped out; the Goras, however, were spared. They had left behind ruins of their buildings and cities and their defense system. Cornerian archaeologists had begun excavating the site.

Lylat Wars

Andross expressed interest in using the planet for using the Goras in the Venomian Army. To be able to gain control of the Goras, however, he had to occupy the planet, and so sent a scout fleet there.

Team Star Fox happened upon this scout fleet by happenstance. In Sector X, while fighting the Spyborg, Slippy Toad had been knocked planetside by the Spyborg. The team then went planetside, not leaving their teammate behind. In an effort to spare the Arwings from flying, Fox took to one of the team's Landmaster tanks and attacked Andross' scout fleet on the ground. Although they were able to use the enviornment to their advantage, Fox powered through their defense and reached Slippy.

However, Slippy was tangled up in one of the arms of a Gora. Fox attacked the Gora and freed Slippy before killing it. The team then proceeded off-planet towards Venom.

Anglar Directorate Invasion

Titania was the site of Andross' ghost located at the time of the Anglar Invasion. Guarding a device used to purify Venomian waters was one of his bioweapons, guarding the device until a worthy person would be able to use it.
