Wolf O'Donnell is the leader of the Star Wolf Team. He and his team are considered Team Star Fox's rival. He is a parallel of Fox McCloud, and is in a direct rivalry with him. However, a few times, he ended up saving Fox's life.

Biography

The Lylat Wars

During the Lylat Wars, while Team Star Fox was hired by the Cornerian Army, Wolf O'Donnell was hired by the Venomian Army, more directly Andross, to stop Fox and destroy his team. He and Team Star Wolf had numerous encounters on several planets with Star Fox, leading up to a final showdown on Venom before Fox's showdown with Andross. He battled Team Star Fox in a new ship design known as the "Wolfen II," which almost outperformed the Arwing. However, after a long arduous battle, Team Star Wolf was dealt their final defeat. They were all shot down and Fox proceeded onward to fight Andross.

The Aparoid Invasion

Wolf was intially tracked to where Pigma Dengar (who, along with Andrew Oikonny, was kicked out of Team Star Wolf) was last seen. Team Star Fox invaded his hideout in the Sargasso Space Region, and they completely took over the base. After the base was taken over, Wolf and his team, now with a new pilot, Panther Caroso, arrived in an attempt to stop Star Fox. A quick battle raged and Star Wolf was subdued. He then was interrogated and revealed Pigma was kicked out of Star Wolf, and that "if he showed his filthy hide [there], [his] team would've driven him out." However, Panther flirted with Krystal a bit and revealed where Pigma was hiding. Wolf then proceeded to leave the region, vowing to take Star Fox down some day.

Later on, Corneria City was invaded by the Aparoids. Fox had initially succeeded in destroying the radar jamming devices they had set up. When he was going to get into the Arwing that Peppy Hare had sent him, the Aparoids destroyed it and surrounded Fox. He was on the verge of his demise when Wolf appeared. Wolf unleashed a barrage of lasers at the Aparoids, destroying or stunning them. Fox thought the attack was on him as well and jumped off the Persimmons Building roof, falling onto Wolf's Wolfen wing. Wolf then proceeded to fly around Corneria City with Fox as his gunner, using a Plasma Turret to destroy Air-to-Air or Ground-to-Air attacks.

During the battle, General Pepper appeared in his flagship. However, the Aparoids had infected both him and the ship, taking away Pepper's control of his body and melding him with the ship. Fox with great sadness attacked General Pepper from Wolf's wing. Pepper was shot down but saved at the last second by Peppy, who flew in unexpectedly in an Arwing. He proceeded to cushion Pepper's fall, saving his life.

Wolf then appeared over Corneria at the Beltino Orbital Zypher Ring while it was being attacked by missiles. He and his team destroyed one of the missiles launched at the station, buying Beltino Toad enough time to create his Apoptosis Virus for use on the Queen Aparoid.

Wolf's final appearance was in the Aparoid Planet Tunnels. He aided Team Star Fox in getting to their objective: the Queen Aparoid. Towards the end of the tunnel, in an attempt to draw the Aparoids away, he lead his team away from Star Fox. The Aparoids followed them, which bought Fox enough time to attack the Queen and launch the virus into her.

The Anglar Directorate

Wolf fought Team Star Fox again when the Anglars, fish-people who lived in the toxic Venomian seas, surfaced. When looking for Peppy's daughter, Lucy Hare, on Fichina, Wolf thought Fox and Slippy came to collect the bounties placed on their heads. A fight ensued, and Wolf was again defeated.
