If James is really dead, why is he a playable character on Star Fox Command? Does anyone have the answer? And on Star Fox 64, he helps Fox to get out of the exploding base. If he wasn't there, Fox would of been toast. It's really strange.

Wellllll... Star Fox Command IS noncannon, IIRC. Everything that takes place on that game won't have affect on the storyline.Then again, I may be wrong about that. On StarFox 64, it could have been a spiritual thing, like the urban legend of several ghost children helping a bus across train tracks with the evidence of only handprints on the back window.
